Hi readers, I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Tonight I share with you Strange Flowers, Washi Tape Love and Chocolate Pots. Happy Reading!
Strange Flowers
When planting two New Zealand flax grass plants, we had no idea that they may one day flower. Imagine our surprise, when overnight (or so it seemed) a flower stem of around 6 feet in height emerged and these pretty flowers opened up!
On doing a little research, it seems that these plants can produce flower stems up to five metres in height! I can't wait to see if this plant flowers again next year, it's just on five years from when we planted it out.
Strange Flowers indeed!
Washi Tape LoveI inadvertently have become a Washi Tape addict, thanks to the gorgeous Shannon of rabbit and the duck.
I recently placed my very first Washi Tape order and was really pleased with the lucky dip of colours that were sent in my purchase.
It also gave me an excuse to go to the hardware store with my long suffering other half, to get the materials for him to build me a Washi Tape holder - see below. The slanted edge is just sharp enough to tear the tape on - thank goodness for men and their sheds! I think I have a bad case of Washi Tape Love ♥
Raw Cacao Chocolate Pots
I stumbled upon this gorgeous recipe through a pin on pinterest, being written in French I had to get it translated! It was worth every sublime mouthful!
The original recipe post can be seen on the christelle is flabbergasting blog here: http://www.christelleisflabbergasting.com/2013/11/petits-pots-au-chocolat-avocat-grenade-et-pistaches.html

Lovely Maddabling readers, that concludes the weekend blog post Strange Flowers, Washi Tape Love and Chocolate Pots. See you all again on Wednesday for a new Wednesday Wishes blog post.
P.S.
Don't forget Summer Street Fair commences on Thursday 28th November at 5pm sharp, Maddabling wouldn't miss this for the world. Maybe I will see you there ♥
We have flax plants in flower too. They flower every year and yes the flower spikes shoot up very quickly. The birds love to feast on the nectar. Ours are higher than the roof. Love the tape holder
ReplyDeleteWow Adelle! I wonder if our flax flowers will ever be as high as yours. I am so happy with the tape holder perhaps there is room for a few more rolls on there yet!
