************ ADULT CONTENT WARNING ************
Welcome dear readers to another edition of Friday Friends. We seem to have had the first lot of Autumn Rains in our part of the world, I really love the fresh smell of rain don't you ? The grass is suddenly looking greener, the plants not so wilted - Autumn is definitely one of my favourite times of year !
Now readers, I must warn you that this week my blog post is a little risque. Having said this, I feel it is fair for all artists to have an opportunity to be featured regardless of what they create. Readers, I will now leave it up to your discretion whether or not you choose to read this blog post.
With the Perth Fringe Festival now over,I thought it would be fitting to feature a West Australian Etsy Seller who specialises in gorgeous Burlesque and Pin-Up styled creations. Meet the lovely Simone of Kiss me quick !
Something that can be said about Kiss me quick is that the products are far from boring and mundane. Personally, I just love the fabric and the vintage feel to the designs of Simones' creations and think that really, any woman wanting to feel pretty could wear this underwear any day of the week ! Here are a few of my favourites that I have picked out to share with you !
Dear readers, it's now time for you to take some time out and turn the virtual pages of the Kiss me quick chronicle, don't forget too that the Maddabling Blog Giveaway closes this coming Sunday. Just leave a comment on the giveaway post to enter. Be kind to each other and have a great weekend x
The Kiss Me Quick Chronicle
Kiss me quick started in 2006, I found the name on a cover of UK Vogue that was released in May of that year. I was living in Sydney at the time, I’d trained as a production designer for film and theatre at WAAPA and I went to the big city to find work.
Alas, that work was in retail! At that time burlesque had just hit Sydney, there was only one “burlesque” club that I knew of, 34b, and that featured mostly strippers and pole dancers, but things were going to change and Burlesque got really big.
I started out experimenting with making pasties, and then friends asked me to make pasties for them. Word spread quite fast and things went well, shops asked me to sell to them and performers requested custom designs. I’ve even made pasties that went to the Playboy Mansion!
My work has been in Oyster Magazine, Zoo, Ralph, Cosmo, and more. They’ve been worn by some of the best performers in the country including Kelly Ann Doll, Lola the Vamp, Samantha Diamond, Mercy st Just, the list goes on.

In 2007 I decided that the pastie market wasn’t going to last forever, so I’ve taught myself how to sew lingerie. My designs echo the aesthetic of my pasties and of Burlesque, they are a little risqué yet pretty, feminine and empowering.
"I Heart Marie" Girdle (Limited Edition) and "Psycho Baby" Pasties |
I moved back to Perth 3 years ago, I’ve spent allot of that working in retail full time, so things have been quieter, but that is about to change too. So many new designs on the horizon, I can’t wait to share them all.

I love her photography! And her gear is so original. Not sure if the pasties look so flash on 53 yo booby's though! And not so sure about the booby's on that little playboy bunny :-0
